Call for chapter proposals

Deadline: May 15th,app 2022

This edited volume will draw together research that takes a critical eye toward examining issues of bi- and multilingualism, L2, L3, or heritage language acquisition, multiliteracy, home language development, language teaching methodology, education, and language policy. The analytical focus includes a wide range of issues, including the understanding the nature and processes of bilingualism/multilingualism, the exposure and influence on a particular population by a dominant language, the age of exposure to input from the dominant language, the grammar properties affected by it, and the overall competence of the bilingual/multilingual speaker. Both empirical studies and theoretical analyses are welcome.

Contributors are welcome to submit abstracts addressing the objective of the proposed edited volume.
To help us secure publication rights as early as possible, we will follow the timeline below:

Authors submit a 500-word abstract to editors by the 15th of May 2022
Editors invite authors to submit full manuscripts by the 1st of June 2022
Authors submit the full manuscript to the editors by the 1st of September 2022

We will provide the formal submission guidelines for manuscripts once we receive a response from the publisher. The review process will begin following the September 2022 deadline.
